Pistachio Green and Periwinkle Blue: Makeup Look
During my first year of blogging, I kept my blog on the down low from friends and family. It was actually my mom who “outed” me and went on a sharing spree on Facebook (lol). Everyone has been really lovely and supportive about it though. And it has even come with a few perks. I get asked to do people’s makeup, give beauty advice, and get gifted their spare makeup products. So this look is brought to you by my friend’s mom who gave me a mint/pistachio green liner. 😀 She da best.
Step 1. I primed my lids with the NYX HD Eye Primer.
Step 2. I created a soft warm-toned eyeshadow look using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Mainly Mugshot on the lid, Dust on the inner corner, Strange on the brow bone, and Nooner on the crease.
Step 3. I lined my top lid using the Cyzone green liquid liner. (It’s one of those catalog brands like Avon and Mary Kay, but it’s mainly sold in latin-american countries. In other words, nearly impossible to find online specially since their website sucks.) Then I went over it with a black liquid liner. I used the Cover Girl Bombshell Liner Pen.
Step 4. I lined my waterline using a periwinkle blue pencil liner (Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl in Light Blue) and also drew a line below the tail of the liquid liner.
Step 5. I added a light pink blush to my cheeks, MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty.
Step 6. I used MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick on my lips.
I adored the final outcome because it was pastel/colorful but still very “wearable”. You can layer black eyeliner on top of any colorful liner and it will bright it down several notches. I’m looking forward to experimenting with different colored liners. Let me know what you think!
