I know Valentine’s Day was
11 days ages ago and this post is barely relevant anymore. I meant to publish this sooner but… well, life. If you spent your Valentine’s Day (and the days after) indulging in multiple chocolates, chances are your skin needs a little detox. If you spent V-Day partying it up, you probably woke up the next day with a dehydrated “day after” face. Here are my post Valentine’s cures…
01. REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask: I bought this mask after reading about it on Jenny’s blog. She said it helped to clear blemishes and diminish the look of blackheads. I completely agree and in general it makes my skin feel less congested. It’s an expensive mask but I’m happy with it because it gives me noticeable results.
02. Origins Drink Up Mask: Alternately, your skin may be feeling really tight and dehydrated. Remember, your skin doesn’t have to show visible dry patches for it to need some moisture. I know many prefer the Origins Drink Up Intensive (which is probably perfect for dry skin) but I think the original is fine for my normal skin type. Fun fact: I’m wearing this mask as I type this.
03. Flamingo Candles Love Potion Candle*: Last but not least, what better way to relax than with a candle? I was offered to try one of Flaming Candles’ scents and I chose Love Potion because it was their Valentine’s Day release. Sadly, it has a strong “baby wipes” scent (yes, really). Thankfully, the smell goes away for the most part once you burn it and the floral notes start to come through.
