Review: Revlon Stormy Pink Lipstick
Stormy Pink is one of Revlon’s most popular shades yet it was only until a few weeks ago that I was prompted to pick it up at the drugstore. A friend of mine wears this shade often and she’s the reason I got it, it looks so pretty on her. Stormy Pink is a bright, cool/blue toned pink. It’s not for the color shy. Although it can be work sheerly, it looks best at its fullest, most opaque potential (2-3 layers) because of its matte texture.
In general, I find Revlon‘s matte formulation to be a bit drying. I prefer Wet’n’Wild‘s $3 matte lipsticks better. However, Stormy Pink isn’t its worst offender. It’s looks slightly powdery upclose but it doesn’t dry out my lips. The pigmentation is good and the color lasts for several hours. Overall, I adore Stormy Pink. It’s a great color. I consider it a tamer alternative to MAC’s Candy Yum Yum because it’s bright but not neon.
Have you tried this shade as well? Do you often purchase products after seeing them on your friends?
