The Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matts v2 Palette was my first experience with Sleek eyeshadows. It was enough to convert me! I get the hype now. I most definitely do. This palette impressed me in so many ways. I will forever thank Latasha for sending me this palette. If not, I don’t think I would have ever been able to try it. You just don’t find soft and pigmented colorful matte eyeshadows like these at the drugstore.
This palette includes 12 matte eyeshadows meaning I could go on and on about it, but I’ll keep it short. All of the colors are very pigmented, soft, and easy to blend. They last well on the lids but I’d still recommend using an eye primer. My only critique is that they’re a bit powdery. As in soft-powdery (not chalky or stiff powdery). They don’t have the richness that some eyeshadows do. That means that they’re easier to overblend and disappear (which is why I recommended using a primer). This also means that they’re more prone to fallout. It’s not bothersome or too noticeable except with the black color, Noire. Noire has a lot of fallout. I’d consider it the only “bad” color of the bunch. It’s still a good matte black, pigmented and easy to blend, but it has more fallout than any other black I own.
Overall: Should you get this palette? Yes! Especially if you love matte finishes like me. I repeat, you don’t find affordable, pigmented, and colorful matte eyeshadows like this very often. The teal color Orbit, navy Ink, brick-red Maple, plum Villan, and forrest green Fern are to die for. They’re my favorite shades from the palette. This palette retails for $9.99 on the Sleek website which makes each eyeshadow less than a $1!! Sadly, the Ultra Matts v2 Palette cannot be shipped to the U.S. due to regulations concerning its ingredients. However, most of the other palettes can be shipped to the U.S. You could also get an overseas friend to send it to you. Or purchase it from Amazon.
MY MAKEUP: (first picture at the beginning of the post) from the Sleek palette, Ink along bottom lash line, Paper Bag on the lid and crease, Dune on the brow bone, Noire on top outer lash line. Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Liner in Deep Blue on the waterline. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Gloss in Pink Ice on the lips.
Please let me know if you have tried any Sleek eyeshadow palettes. Which one is your favorite? I must try others!
