Revlon recently released a new line of scented nail polishes called Parfumerie. You’ve probably seen these in a few blogs now. Revlon limited releases are usually very popular and highly coveted amongst beauty lovers (specially their lip products!) The color I have is Bordeaux, a deep crimson red. I didn’t have high expectations for these because gimmicky products (in this case scented polish) are usually of questionable quality. These retail for approximately $5 (depending on where you purchase).
(Excuse my broken nail, please.)
I’ll admit right away: I didn’t buy this because it’s scented. I have no interest in scented polishes. I got Bordeaux because the Parfumarie packaging is beautiful! It’s the prettiest drugstore nail polish packaging I’ve ever seen. Bordeaux smells of something fruity. The scent lasts about 2 days on the nails and is only detectable while painting your nails and if you put your fingernails to your nose. If you use a top coat the scent disappears. The formula is okay, but chips pretty quickly and I found it more difficult to remove than my other nail polishes. Basically it’s a novelty item. The beautiful packaging is what sells this.
Have you tried any of the Revlon Parfumerie polishes? Are you interested?
