Sick Day “No Makeup” Makeup
Some days you’re feeling ill and you wake up with a scratchy throat, runny eyes, and an irritated right eye (like today). When you’re ill or recovering from any kind of sickness, the skin tends to look swallow and feel dry. Regardless, you have to go out and get stuff done. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite products to use when you want to look like nothing happened without trying too hard.
If you can’t skip foundation altogether, try using a moisturizing primer first such as the Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Primer. For concealer I used the MAC Mineralize Concealer in NC30 because the formula is light, illuminating, and a bit dewy. I didn’t wear any eyeshadow because I felt too tired to fuss with my eyes too much. I did, however, apply a very shimmery cream eyeshadow on the inner corners of my eyes to make myself look awake. The one I used was Fringe from ColourPop Cosmetics. Highlighting with cream products can bring back some life into your face without looking over the top. I used the OCC Creme Colour Concentrate in Pleasure Model on the top of my cheek bones as well as my cupid’s bow. I applied mascara (of course) and did my brows like I normally do using the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade in Dark Chocolate. Eyebrows have to be on point no matter what ;). Finally, I applied the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London. The Soft Mattes are great, everyday throw-in-your-bag products. I really like them and you can usually get them for under $5. I’ve featured several of them over the course of the years, click here to see more.
And that’s it! I would also recommend using a nude or peach eyeliner on the waterline but I skipped that step this time because my eyes were really watery. Have a great week! ♥
