Skipping Face Products: Everyday Makeup Look
You might have noticed that my “face” product list for the past makeup looks has gotten shorter over the past few months. Initially, I stopped wearing foundation and concealer because I was suffering from a really bad acne breakout and I wanted to let my skin “breathe”. After that breakout finally cleared up, I ran out of my favorite foundation (NARS Sheer Glow). Right now I’m feeling very happy and grateful that my skin cleared up. I finally feel comfortable about my foundation-free face so I’ve been embracing it. Also, I don’t have a spare $40 to repurchase Sheer Glow right now, ha!
Some days I will skip face products all together. Others I will wear powder, concealer, and blush (or a combination of the three). It feels really refreshing because the summer weather is starting to get really hot and humid and foundation would just melt off my face. My go-to powder products are: the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, and Illamasqua Powder Blush in Lover.
For the rest of my face I’m using: Milani ShadowEyez Eyeshadow Pencils in Champagne Toast and Brown Deluxe, Coastal Scents Eyeshadows in Cherry Chocolate and Medieval Gold, MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Patina, Jordana Easyliner in Rock’n’Rose, Guerlain Rouge G L’extract Lipstick in Avarice, Milani StayPut Brow in Brunette, Maybelline The Rocket Volum’Express Mascara.
Have you simplified your everyday makeup routine for summer too? Which products are you skipping?
