Stila Convertible Color in Petunia
Long time no see, beauties! Lots of things have been happening this December and though I had a few posts already prepared, I haven’t even had the chance to schedule or publish them. My birthday is tomorrow and I’m not very excited about it. It’s not the fact that I’m getting older (because that is a privilege that some people don’t have) but the fact that it has been a bittersweet year; more bitter than sweet. Anyhow, today I wanted to show you this beautiful Convertible Cheek/Lip Color from Stila called Petunia.
As many of you know, I’m a fan of cream blushes. They melt into the skin and look incredibly natural. Plus they usually last longer than powders. I have encountered cream formulas I’ve disliked (like the Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blushes which are too greasy for me) so when one really works it’s always a delight. The Stila Convertible Colors are great. They’re very similar to the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge cream blushes: on the thicker side (compared to, say, NYX or Illamasqua cream blushes) but highly pigmented, long lasting, and easy to blend.
Petunia is a beautiful watermelon pink. It’s yellow based and will look great on all complexions, specially warm toned ones. I like to apply my cream blushes with fluffy synthetic brushes (like the Real Techniques Expert Face brush) or large stippling brushes. Warning: you only need the tiniest amount. Usually with cream blushes, one tap is enough for both cheeks (specially true for Bobbi Brown PRs).
Let me know if you love cream blushes too. Have you tried the Stila Convertible Colors? The other shade I’m eyeing right now is Gerbera.
