The best peach liquid lipstick for medium skin tones?
Like many others, I’m a huge fan of liquid lipstick. It’s so versatile and will last through a night of drinks with friends, a special event, and the majority of an 8-hour workday. I’ve been looking for a warm, peachy liquid lipstick that’s not chalky or dry for a while. It’s not a simple task as bright colors tend to accentuate lip lines, especially when it comes to liquid lipstick formulas. I’ve come to chalk it up to the nature of the color pigments and concluded it might be a hard formula to crack. I had heard great things about Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks and have been trying to venture out and try different brands so I decided to purchase their Sweet n’ Sassy Liquid Matte Lipstick.
So is this the perfect peach toned liquid lipstick I’ve been searching for?
Not quite. I think at the moment, I’m a bit too olive-toned for this color. It might work best for me during the peak of winter, when I’m at my palest. That’s my individual issue, not the product’s fault. I’m just putting that out there in case you think it looks a bit Jersey Shore on me. (It does.)
Anyhow, on to the formula… It’s really long-wearing and has a thin texture, which makes it more comfortable than many other liquid lipsticks. However, it also means you might need two-to-three layers to get full opacity. As you might have noticed, my lip liner was peeking through in the photo above. In terms of how it looks. I don’t think the formula itself accentuates lip lines more than any other liquid lipstick, but the light pastel color is pretty unforgiving and means there’s nowhere to hide.
Overall, I think Sweet n’ Sassy is one of the better pastel peach liquid lipsticks I’ve tried, so I’m giving it a B+. Have you tried any of the Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks yet? What are your thoughts on them?
