Top 6 For Spring: Cheeks + Lips
It’s spring around here and I’m definitely feeling it. I have a spring pastel makeup post planned out where there will be more color (think purples and blues), but today I want to show you my top blushes and lip products for easy, everyday spring looks. The selection is predominantly pink but they all have different undertones to suit different tastes.
1. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink: Although this is a light pink, it has enough color to suit a variety of tanned skin tones without looking ashy. The formula for the Pot Rouges is amazing and I can’t recommend it enough.
2. Stila Convertible Color in Petunia: The formula of the Convertible Colors is very similar to the one from Bobbi Brown which makes these two my favorite cream blushes. Petunia is the perfect watermelon pink and its yellow base makes its very lovely on warm toned skin tones.
3. Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate: I’ve professed my love for these before. I think these are amazing throw-in-your-bag lip products that will keep your lips from drying out. The pop of color is fun but still quite subtle.
4. Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Jasmine: For paler skintones, the shade Jasmine is the perfect complement to a nude lipstick. You can wear it alone, of course, but its wonderful for layering.
5. e.l.f. Studio Blush in Pink Passion: I love these kinds of uber bright blushes because, although they’re initially intimidating, they look amazing on both really deep and really pale skin tones. Just make sure to use a light hand and fluffy brush if you are pale.
6. Illamasqua Powder Blush in Lover: Amongst this sea of pinks we have Lover, a pale pastel peach. I’m totally in love with this shade and the texture is amazing. You must try Illamasqua powder blushes if you haven’t done so yet!
Do you own any of these? What are your top spring cheek or lip products?

21st Apr 2014 - 6:58 amI love Illamasqua blushes! I own Excite and Chased which I absolutely love. They are some of the best blushes for oily skin. I need to go check out Lover because it sounds like it'll be a shade that I'll probably like.

21st Apr 2014 - 8:26 amMy FIRST Illamasqua product was a cream blush, and I adore it!!!! I have never been a huge Stila fan (for my coloring), but may need to check out some new items. Heard great things about the Kitten highlighters, but think I may be too dark 🙁

21st Apr 2014 - 9:44 amAll those products look beautiful. Especially the Bobby Brown blush! I think I need to try that as I heard a lot of amazing things about it on other blogs too! And the lipbutters from Korres look stunning. Sadly I haven't seen them in any shop in Germany yet. Maybe I just have to order them online. Thanks for the recommendation. 🙂 x

23rd Apr 2014 - 3:36 amI love love love the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges, and prefer them over the Stila Convertible Colours. Definitely agreed though, everyone needs to try an Illamaqua powder blush! So darn soft!
Katrina
26th Apr 2014 - 7:53 amI love the Stila Convertible Colours, so many great colour choices and the formula is not as wet/sticky as a lot of cream blushes. I have just recently purchased my very first Illamasqua products (a cream pigment!) and I'm dying to try more, so I'm pleased to see you recommend their powder blushes so highly. I'll definitely have to check them out

1st May 2014 - 2:57 amso funny! Pink Passion is going to be in my favorites! I have literally been loving that blush- i am def. paler and it honestly does work for any skin tone- i can see it being really pretty on a deeper skin tone too b/c its so pigmented and bright but it is just what i need during this time of the year! its been raining like crazy in ohio, i need something bright and fun! lol
