Valentine’s CoverGirl Bombshell Makeup Look + Giveaway
Happy Valentine’s, everyone! I hope you have a nice time with your friends, family, and significant other. Today I have my third V-Day’s makeup look to share with you. It’s a bombshell/pin-up inspired look using CoverGirl‘s new Bombshell makeup range. There’s a video tutorial for this look plus a giveaway for a $100 Walmart gift card so make sure to read until the end!
The three CoverGirl Bombshell products I was sent for this makeup look were the following (they’re listed in order of preference):
CoverGirl Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara in Very Black ($8.94): This was my favorite product of the bunch but that’s no surprise because I was a fan of CG’s LashBlast throughout my first year of college. This is a two step mascara that actually has two different wands (not a gimmicky dial twist) so you can get two totally different lash looks from this. Specially considering that Step 1 is a rubber wand (like the original) LashBlast and Step 2 is a traditional fibre brush. Honestly, I get enough length and volume from Step 1 and don’t feel like I need to go in with the Step 2 brush afterwards. Step 1 is labeled as a priming step but I think it’s more like getting two mascaras in one. (Why is the tube so fat, though? That’s my real question.)
Available in Very Black, Black, Black/Brown, Brow.
CoverGirl Bombshell Shine Shadow by LashBlast in Copper Fling ($6.94): I’m so surprised with this color. I picked this shade to try because it’s the one that caught my eye the most but, still, I didn’t think it would be so beautiful. It’s a warm metallic copper that looks great when paired up with warm brown eyeshadow (which is what I did for this look). This doesn’t crease on me but it also doesn’t set completely so it does fade.
Available in Ice Queen, Platinum Card, Color Me Honey, Gold Goddess, Copper Fling, and Ooh La Lilac.
CoverGirl Bombshell Intensity Liner in Pitch Black Passion ($6.94): There were some things I liked and others I disliked about this product. First of all, I love the felt tip. It’s quite fine and precise. Plus, the formula is pigmented and very black. My issues with the Intensity Liner are the packaging (which I think should be larger in order to apply the liner more comfortably) and the shiny finish. I realize most liquid liners are shiny, but I’m not a fan of that so I always look for ones that are more matte.
Available in Pitch Black Passion and Chocolate Kiss.
To get this look, I first applied my favorite foundation, concealer, and powder. Then I primed the eyes to prevent any creasing. I went in with Copper Fling on the lid and warm browns on the crease. I lined my eyes with the Intensity Liner and finished the eyes with the Bombshell Volume Mascara. For the lips, I used a red lip liner all over and then applied a bit of hot pink and gold eyeshadow to the center of the lips to create a slight ombre look that would make my lips look fuller. $100 Walmart GiftCard Giveaway! (open to U.S. residents only)
I was also offered a $100 GiftCard from Walmart to give away to one reader. You must be a U.S. resident as Walmart is a U.S. retailer. I apologize to my international readers. (I do have my 3k giveaway coming up which is international, don’t worry!) You can use the GiftCard to purchase your own CoverGirl Bombshell products or whatever you like. The card will be shipped to you directly by the sponsor of the giveaway, not by myself. The giveaway ends on February 20th. I need to pass your shipping address along to the sponsor by the 21st so that’s why the turnaround is quite short. Enter using the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!!

Disclosure: The Walmart gift card and information have been provided by CoverGirl. The three CoverGirl Bombshell items were provided by the company. The rest of the products used in the makeup look were purchased by me. I’m not getting paid or sponsored to make this makeup tutorial. The video is my entry to a CoverGirl giveaway for bloggers.
