Lately I’ve been favoring shiny, balm-like lip products because a certain lipstick from NARS (more on that in a future post) totally destroyed my lips. Anyway, here’s a makeup look I created a few days ago with the Kat Von D Star-Crossed True Romance Palette. I don’t recall where I wore this to because, as I mentioned in my Blogging Tips post, I photograph in bulk and then write a post’s corresponding text (usually a week later). I do know it was during the daytime so here’s a non-intimidating way to add some blue eyeshadow into your everyday makeup…
BASE: For a really light, everyday coverage I used my Pond’s Luminous BB+ in Light*. To conceal blemishes I applied a little bit of the Revlon PhotoReady Concealer in Light/Med. I set all of that with a dusting of the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent.
CHEEKS: I used a few layers of the recently reviewed Love Blush from the NARS Final Cut Collection.
EYES: The Milani ShadowEyez Eyeshadow Pencil in Champagne Toast acted as a shimmery base. Then I did some eyeshadow work using the Kat Von D Star-Crossed Palette. It’s been now discontinued, sadly. The colors I used were Ville (a shimmery taupe) all over the lid and Hyperballad (a cool toned blue) on the bottom lash line. Then I just did a bit of mascara (using the Jordana Best Lash Extreme) and winged liner. I filled in my brows with the Face It Designing Brow Cake in Khaki.
LIPS: I took two balm-y lip options on my bag with me. One was the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle. The other was the Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above myself except for the Pond’s BB Cream which is a PR sample I was sent for an old post. The Jordana Best Lash Extreme was a gift from Lau.
